Reverend Ryan Eikenbary
I was born and raised in Northern California and attended high school in the beautiful Napa Valley of California. After high school I moved to the East Coast to attend the music conservatory at Carnegie Mellon University and it was during my time there that I first felt the call of God into a life serving the church. I transferred to Master's University in Southern California where I completed my Bachelors degree in Biblical Studies. After college I spent time serving in Ethiopia and then worked as a college administrator for about a decade, before beginning seminary. I earned a Masters in Theological Studies from Church Divinity School of the Pacific (the only Episcopal Seminary on the West Coast). The title of my thesis was "And God Spoke: Verbal Iconography in Puritan England". I then went on to earn my Masters of Divinity from Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary.

In 2016 I was ordained into the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and began my first call at Zion Lutheran Church & the Episcopal Church of St. Anne, both in Stockton, CA. Most recently I served as the Associate Pastor at First English Lutheran Church in Appleton, WI, where I focused on planning worship and Christian education of all ages.

I have been married since 2012. My spouse is a life-long educator who works for the Montana Office of Public Instruction. We have two adopted kids and currently have a foster child living with us. All three are school-age. In my free time I enjoy cooking, reading, swimming, and travel with my family.
